Frequency TV is the student-run, multi-platform television group at Columbia College Chicago. Our staff (better known as “The Freqs”) are an outstanding group of students whose skills and personalities reflect the roles and characteristics that make up our team.


Patrick Thomas Keen | MANAGING PRODUCER

Patrick is an award-winning video producer, and a student of Television: Internet and Mobile Media at Columbia College Chicago. He’s lead his own promotional video production company, PTK Productions, since 2016. Patrick’s background in digital video producing, branding, teaching, and leadership provides Frequency TV an experienced, innovative, and driven leader. Patrick has continued aspirations in digital content producing for the civic good.



Anthony is a sophomore Cinema and Television Arts Major concentrating in directing and producing at Columbia College Chicago. As an aspiring director, producer, and assistant director, he works passionately and efficiently to get the job done. Having organizational skills gained from being an on-campus Resident’s Assistant and an Assistant Film Director, he hopes to pursue jobs both on the creative and practical sides of the industry.

Mikela Kinamore | Content producer

Mikela is a Television major with a writing and producing concentration. She enjoys work that involves sociology of diverse people. Mikela likes to learn a variety of viewpoints on topics that concern everyone. 


jermaine nolEn | Content producer

Jermaine is a senior studying Multimedia Journalism. He spent years abroad and traveling to different places, but has since moved back to his hometown of Chicago. One of his favorite things to do is explore the many beauties Chicago has to offer, and aims to make Frequency TV viewers do the same. His goal is to highlight the many cultures, subcultures and amazing things the city has to offer.

katherine Severe | Content producer

Katherine is a Junior Cinema Arts & Sciences student pursing a BFA with a concentration in Film Producing. She is passionate about diversity in film; especially female and LGBTQ+ representation both in front of and behind camera. She hopes to produce quirky comedic content that people can relate to.


mahnoor syed | Content producer

Mahnoor is a Content Producer at Frequency TV. She loves being inspired by other artists and constantly creating new works of art/media. As an Asian-American Muslim Woman, she values diversity and multiculturalism. Some of her hobbies include drawing, baking, poetry, watching K-dramas, and helping others.


Madison carter | post-production supervisor

Madison currently a junior in the Cinema Arts & Sciences program, focusing on editing and experimental video production. In their spare time they film small travelogues with friends and personal vegan food reviews. Their goal for the future is to incorporate experimental video into live comedy performances, as well as get more involved with the Chicago gallery scene. 


evan fintzy | post-production supervisor

Evan is a sophomore at Columbia College Chicago, majoring in Television Production with a Concentration of Post-Production. Originally from New York, he moved to Chicago to explore further opportunities in his career. He has a strong passion for editing and hopes to someday be an editor for television. 


Sarah Thurman | Production Technician

Sarah is Frequency TV’s Production Technician. She’s a Sophomore Television Directing and Production major from Nashville, Tennessee. She’d directed for Columbia productions like FreqOut Live and Newsbeat.


Chris West | Operations manager

Chris has been a media professional in the television industry for over 25 years specializing in multi-camera production planning, directing, and technical operation for various organizations and programs. As Operations Manager, Chris serve as liaison between Frequency TV’s student staff, and Columbia College Chicago administration. He’s also a songwriter/musician and plays several different instruments.
